CuNi12Zn24 / R490 is used in applications where high strength, resilience, and wear resistance are required, such as spring and clip components (e.g. electrical contacts, terminals, and switches), precision strip and stamped parts in electrical engineering, wear-sensitive mechanical components, connectors and contact springs due to their good electrical properties, and technical components where dimensional stability and durability are important.
